Under 7

Year of Birth: 2017 + 2018 + 2019

Game Days: Tuesday / Thursday

Equipment Needed: Running Shoes and Glove 

   

This is an introductory level of softball with modified rules and mixed teams. The season runs from May through June. T-Ball is played with a T-Stand and the player hits the ball from the stand. All players bat and will play a field position.

   

Under 9

  

Year of Birth: 2015 + 2016

Game Days: Monday / Wednesday

Equipment Needed: Running Shoes and Glove 

This is an introductory level of softball with modified rules and mixed teams. The season runs from May through June. Coach Pitch is where the coach of the team pitches to the players. All players bat and will play a field position.

   

Under 11

  

Year of Birth: 2013 + 2014

Game Days: Tuesday / Thursday

Equipment Needed: Running Shoes and Glove 

This is the first year in which there is a division of girls and boys teams. ( There may also be mixed teams ) Each team will have a player pitcher pitching to the opposite team. This is a recreational level with all players in the batting order and having A, B, and C players.

"A" Players play the whole game, while "B" and "C" players rotate innings in the field.

Each player will have the opportunity to be an A, B, and C player.

 

An umpire may be provided at the games, if available, otherwise, the home team provides one. The season is from May through June. City Finals are scheduled to be played in June. All teams have an opportunity to apply to Softball Alberta for provincials that are usually held in July.

Under 13

  

Year of Birth: 2011 + 2012

Game Days: Monday / Wednesday

Equipment Needed: Cleats and Glove 

In this category, there is a division of girls and boys teams.

(There may also be mixed teams) Each team will have a player pitcher pitching to the opposite team. This is a recreational level with all players in the batting order and having A, B, and C players.

"A" Players play the whole game, while "B" and "C" players rotate innings in the field.

Each player will have the opportunity to be an A, B, and C player.

Under 15

  

Year of Birth:  2009 + 2010

Game Days: Tuesday / Thursday

Equipment Needed: Cleats and Glove 

The Category Director and Sports Director will have a conversation to discuss which tier/division each team registered with their association should be placed in. During league play, an umpire will be provided at games if available.  Otherwise, the home team will supply a plate umpire and the visiting team will supply a base umpire. The season is from May through June. City finals are scheduled to be played in June. All teams have the opportunity to apply to Softball Alberta for Provincials.

Under 17

  

Year of Birth: 2007 + 2008

Game Days: Monday / Wednesday

Equipment Needed: Cleats and Glove

Year of Birth: 2005 + 2006 Overage player from 2003 allowed 2 per team.
